WordPress Bug with Windows Firefox
Posted by Johan Cyprich on 25 Jan 2007 | Tagged as: Applications
I found a bug that only seems to appear when you use the Windows version of Firefox 2.0 with WordPress 2.1. When you write a post using the visual editor, several buttons don’t appear on the button bar. These are the buttons from Strikethrough to Insert/edit image.
The strange thing is that when I use Firefox 2.0 in Fedora 6, the entire button bar is there. The bar is also complete in Internet Explorer 7.
I mainly use Firefox for web browsing but it looks like I’ll be using IE 7 to compose messages until the Firefox bug is fixed. For a while I was using the Code tab to insert hyperlinks and format my posts, but I’m too spoiled to stop using the visual editorĀ and manually code messages. ![]()

experienced that problem too and posted here >> http://www.selaplana.com/2007/01/25/now-on-wordpress-v21/
however, after several hours, everything went to normal.

I still have the problem with the button bar in Firefox on Windows. I’ll have to take a look at the PHP code and see what’s going on there.

The button bar is displaying properly now in Windows Firefox. I don’t know why its working now. I didn’t make any changes to the PHP code.
