WordPress 2.3.3

Posted by Johan Cyprich on 05 Feb 2008 | Tagged as: Applications

A serious security patch was the main reason for WordPress 2.3.3 being released 3 hours ago. There was a bug in the XML-RPC implementation which allows a registered user to edit posts of other users on a blog. This doesn’t affect this since I’m the only writer, but the offer is open to anyone who wants to be a guest blogger.

There were also a few minor bugs fixed as well. The WordPress team recommends removing the WP-Forum plugin due to vulnerability which they need to fix.

This was a very easy upgrade and I recommend all WordPress users to do this. Its important to keep your blog as secure and bug-free as possible.
